Women’s Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Class– FAQs

Do I need prior firearms experience to attend this women’s CPL class?

No prior experience is required. This class is designed for beginners as well as women who want a structured refresher before applying for a Michigan CPL.

Yes. Michigan law requires live-fire training, which is included as part of this CPL class and conducted under close instructor supervision.

The class is completed in one scheduled session that meets Michigan CPL training requirements, including both classroom instruction and live-fire qualification.

No. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate of training, which you will submit with your application to your local county clerk.

No. Fingerprinting is done at the clerk’s office or police department depending on which county you live in.  

Yes. Students regularly attend from across the Detroit Metro area. Residency does not restrict enrollment in this class.

We all our training pistols are  22 Long rifle (.22lr).  These pistols are easy to handle for new shooters and easy to load.  Don’t worry we will be with you every step of the way.

Yes. Students must be 21 years of age which is Michigan’s minimum age  requirement for CPL training at the time of the class.
